ULTRASOUND SCANNING

We offer a general check on the health of the bitch, check for pregnancy (whelping) and pyometra.

An Ultrasound scan on dogs is  the same that can be used on a mother and child. It has no known harmful effects to the bitch or the puppies being carried. 

​

Scans can be done at 28 days but the best time for scanning for puppies or kittens is when they are between 32-35 days after mating.

We provide confirmation of pregnancy but there can only a rough guide to numbers, as this can change in many cases to be more or less than originally thought. 

​

Emergency scans can be done at short notice if there is a query whilst your bitch is in whelp.
